Committed to Clearwater,
she's determined to make it even better.

Clearwater is at an important moment in its history, and the decisions we make today will shape our city for generations to come. I’m running for City Council to be a steady, thoughtful voice who brings people together, builds consensus, and ensures we grow responsibly while strengthening our neighborhoods and protecting everything we love about Clearwater.
Her Story
Born in Florida and raised with a deep appreciation for community and public service, Bianca Latvala has dedicated her career to leadership, communication, and civic engagement.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, International Relations from the University of Central Florida, where she developed a strong foundation in government, policy, and advocacy. She later went on to earn her Master of Arts in Political Science, American Politics from American Military University, further strengthening her expertise in public affairs and leadership.

Professional Experience
Bianca Latvala has built her career at the intersection of public affairs, nonprofit leadership, and digital strategy. With more than fifteen years of experience, she has led fundraising and communications efforts for nonprofit organizations, managed large-scale advocacy and alumni engagement initiatives, and worked in government affairs in Washington, D.C. She now focuses on strategic messaging, digital advertising, and audience engagement, helping organizations communicate clearly, connect with their communities, and deliver measurable results. Throughout her career, Bianca has prioritized relationship-building, thoughtful leadership, and strengthening the communities she serves.

Community
Service
Service is at the heart of Bianca’s commitment to Clearwater. She serves on the boards of the Rotary Club of Clearwater, PACE Center for Girls, and the Lyla Goode Foundation, supporting initiatives that uplift families and expand opportunity.
As a Rotarian, Bianca lives out the principle of Service Above Self, dedicating her time to projects that strengthen neighborhoods and support those in need. She also actively supports numerous Clearwater charities by attending fundraising events, volunteering her time, and helping amplify their missions throughout the community.

Leadership Experience
Bianca Latvala believes strong communities are built through steady, engaged leadership. A graduate of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Citizens Academy and Pinellas County Government Citizen University, she has gained firsthand insight into local government, public safety, and the responsibilities of community leadership.
She previously served on the City of Clearwater Parks and Recreation Board and now serves as Chair of the City of Clearwater Community Resiliency and Leisure Services Board, helping guide efforts that strengthen parks and community programs.
Bianca married her husband, Chris, in 2024 at Ruth Eckerd Hall, a Clearwater landmark that reflects their love for the community they call home.
Bianca and Chris enjoy being active in local life — whether that means attending baseball games, supporting businesses along the beach, or worshiping at Calvary Church. They value spending time in the places and with the people that make Clearwater special.
Clearwater isn’t just a city to Bianca, it’s her home, her community, and the place where she is building her future.
